Manager Coaching for AI Adoption
Helping your managers lead AI change, so their teams actually use it.
If your managers are not using AI, their teams will not either. The trouble is, most managers are just as overwhelmed and uncertain as everyone else. This programme turns your managers from task‑checkers into confident AI coaches who can translate your AI strategy into everyday, human‑centred practice in their teams.
Why focus on managers?
AI adoption fails in the “messy middle” – where strategies and licences meet real people, real workflows, and real worries. That middle is owned by your managers. They are the ones answering the hard questions, protecting quality, and trying to keep the wheels on.
This coaching‑led programme gives managers practical tools, language, and confidence to lead AI change without becoming “AI experts”. We keep the tech simple and the focus firmly on behaviour, culture, and impact at the team level.
An 8‑week, practice‑first coaching container
Manager Coaching for AI Adoption is an 8‑week, cohort‑based programme for 6–10 managers at a time. It blends short live sessions, focused 1:1 coaching, and on‑the‑job experiments so managers are always working on their own team, not abstract case studies.
By the end of the programme, each manager will have:
2–3 live AI workflows running safely in their team
A simple Team AI Plan they can share with their people and leaders
Clear language to explain “why AI, why now” without jargon
A few straightforward metrics to track time saved, quality improved, and risk managed
Who this is designed for
This programme is ideal for organisations that already have AI tools, pilots, or licences in place, but adoption is patchy, noisy, or stuck.
Typical participants include:
Team leaders and supervisors
Operations and service managers
Project and programme managers
Functional heads (HR, Finance, Marketing, Customer teams)
Sponsors are usually HR, L&D, or Transformation leaders who are tired of running “AI awareness” sessions that do not change how people actually work.
What managers learn and do
-
Managers explore what AI really means for their role and team. They identify their biggest time drains and headaches, and choose one or two pilot workflows to focus on. They leave with the first draft of a simple Team AI Plan.
-
We map the real work of each team and translate high‑level AI ambitions into specific use cases. Managers design prompts, examples, and guardrails for their pilots, and define what “good” looks like in plain language.
-
We cover the essentials of safe, ethical, and policy‑aligned AI use – without the legalese. Managers practise coaching conversations, feedback on AI‑generated work, and how to say “yes, with conditions” or “no” when needed.
-
Managers design a simple rhythm for keeping AI on the agenda: team updates, check‑ins, celebrating small wins, and sharing lessons. Each manager leaves with a 90‑day follow‑through plan to keep adoption growing once the programme ends.
Tools managers can actually use
Each manager gets:
A Team AI Plan template tailored to your organisation
A simple workflow mapping canvas to spot AI opportunities
A practical prompt library for common managerial and team tasks
A risk and guardrails checklist written in human language, aligned with your policies
A basic metrics tracker to capture time saved, quality gains, and sentiment
You, as the sponsor, receive:
A short end‑of‑cohort summary (what managers implemented, early impact, risks and blockers)
Clear recommendations for the next 90 days of AI adoption support
How it works in practice
The standard format looks like this:
4 × 90‑minute live cohort sessions (virtual)
2 × 30‑minute 1:1 coaching “power sessions” per manager
Practical, low‑lift tasks between sessions, applied directly to their team
Everything is designed to fit around busy diaries. No homework for homework’s sake – just small, real experiments inside existing meetings, processes, and tools.
Working together
Before we start, we run a short discovery session to understand your AI strategy, tooling, and policies – and to get clear on what “good” looks like for you.
Together, we:
Select the right cohort of managers
Tailor examples, prompts, and guardrails to your context
Agree success measures that make sense for your stakeholders
From there, we deliver the cohort, keep you looped in on progress, and close with a concise, practical recommendations report – not a 60‑slide deck.
